About the role

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Sr. Sales Support Specialist in Chennai to support the Sales team by governing machine price lists and ensuring accurate product configuration for dealers and customers. The role involves consulting on customer solutions, managing change processes, and providing daily operational support to maximize product value. This is an on-site position requiring five days of work at the Chennai location.

What you’ll do

• Govern machine price lists and ordering-rule changes for accurate configuration
• Consult with product groups and dealers to develop customer solutions
• Conduct end-to-end execution of product configuration management
• Provide daily support to dealers regarding product strategy and availability
• Lead continuous process improvements and change initiatives
• Perform governance as subject matter expert for price list changes

What you’ll bring

• Knowledge of product value chain management and dealer/customer needs alignment
• Understanding of factory operations and product design concepts
• Ability to perform RCCA and provide effective problem-solving solutions
• Experience with Product groups or factory operations preferred

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of decision-making tools and critical thinking techniques
• Effective communication skills for oral presentations and report writing
• Basic understanding of relationship management and business partnerships
• Nice to have: AI experience to identify opportunities with diverse data sets
