About the role
Data Engineering team at EXL builds scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions on Azure. The Azure Data Engineer designs and develops ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and DBT, writes optimized SQL, and ensures data quality and governance. Hyderabad, Hybrid work model, 8+ years experience required.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and DBT
- Build and maintain data integration workflows to Snowflake
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance
- Enforce data quality, governance, and documentation standards
- Work with data analysts, architects, and DevOps teams in a cloud‑native environment
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years data engineering experience with Azure and Snowflake
Nice to have
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory
- Proficiency in SQL
- Hands‑on Snowflake and SnowSQL
- Experience with DBT
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake or Synapse
