About the role

Cloud Platform team at Five9 builds a scalable, cloud‑native Email‑as‑a‑Service platform to automate alerts and notifications. The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer designs and maintains IaC pipelines with Terraform/OpenTofu, deploys infrastructure on OpenStack and Rancher‑managed Kubernetes, and implements observability and security for email delivery. Bengaluru, hybrid (Remote‑India/On‑site), Full‑time, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement IaC pipelines for email services
• Deploy and operate infrastructure on OpenStack and Rancher‑managed Kubernetes
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines ensuring zero‑downtime deployments
• Define networking, DNS, TLS, and IP reputation configurations
• Implement observability stacks for email metrics and alerts
• Manage secrets, credentials, and RBAC across environments
• Conduct capacity planning, load testing, and incident response
• Produce documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery playbooks

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years DevOps/platform engineering
• Terraform/OpenTofu expertise
• OpenStack or Rancher experience
• Kubernetes and Helm knowledge
• Email infrastructure (MTA, SMTP, deliverability)
• Scripting in Python/Bash/Go
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP)
• CI/CD pipeline development
