Principal Product Manager

About the role

Product Management at Sumo Logic leads the observability platform, building tools that let engineers investigate incidents and ensure reliability. The Principal Product Manager defines the vision for investigation and reliability experiences, shaping AI‑assisted workflows across logs, metrics, traces and alerts while owning product health and roadmap. Bengaluru, hybrid work model, relocation assistance may be considered.

What you’ll do

• Define multi‑quarter vision and roadmap for investigation and reliability experiences
• Own product health, competitiveness and AI‑native transformation
• Productize investigation workflows across telemetry sources
• Improve alerting accuracy and noise reduction
• Collaborate with engineering on query performance and scalability
• Translate strategy into PRDs, user stories and rollout plans
• Use telemetry to identify friction, latency and cost issues
• Create leadership proposals balancing demand, governance and performance

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years product management in observability or monitoring
• Deep knowledge of logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts and SLOs
• Experience running live, at‑scale products
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted investigation tools
• Strong technical instincts for query engines and time‑series data
• Analytical skills using telemetry and usage data
• Excellent communication for technical and business audiences
• High ownership and ability to drive ambiguous, large‑scale initiatives
