About the role
AI Platform Architecture Team at Novartis builds enterprise‑grade AI solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP, driving GenAI innovation in regulated life sciences. The Associate Director leads design, evaluation, and delivery of scalable AI platforms, RAG systems, and multi‑agent workflows, partnering with Business Units and AI PMO to translate business needs into secure, compliant architectures. Based in Hyderabad, the role requires on‑site presence with a focus on global consistency and governance.
What you’ll do
- Architect enterprise AI platforms across Azure, AWS, GCP
- Lead technology evaluations and PoC programs
- Build reference architectures and blueprints
- Ensure compliance with responsible AI and regulatory standards
- Provide technical guidance to solution teams
- Represent AI Architecture in governance boards
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML
- 14+ years enterprise IT/solution architecture
- 5+ years AI/ML, 3+ years GenAI
- Deep expertise in Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock/SageMaker, or GCP Vertex AI
- Python proficiency
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or DSPy
- Strong AI compliance knowledge (IAM, GDPR, GxP, EU AI Act)
- Excellent stakeholder communication
