About the role
Curriculum Associates seeks a Manager, AI Software Engineering to lead AI/ML teams in building scalable, high‑quality AI systems for education products. The role involves mentoring engineers, defining AI roadmaps with product partners, ensuring model quality and responsible AI practices, scaling systems for performance, and managing MLOps pipelines. The manager will also drive best practices, mitigate risks related to bias and privacy, and collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to deliver impactful learning experiences.
What you’ll do
- Lead and grow AI/ML engineering team
- Define AI roadmaps with product partners
- Drive best practices in model quality and deployment
- Scale AI systems for performance and reliability
- Mitigate risks of bias, privacy, and data quality
- Manage MLOps processes and continuous delivery
- Provide staffing plans and budgeting support
- Resolve production issues and monitor outcomes
What you’ll bring
- AI/ML engineering background with modern ML frameworks
- Experience building production AI systems at scale
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and MLOps
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
- Agile project management experience
Nice to have
- 8–10+ years in AI/ML or data roles, 3–4+ years managing teams
- Experience with LLMs, NLP, or generative AI
- Experience with large‑scale data platforms or SaaS
- Familiarity with education technology
