About the role
Stryker Global Technology Center team drives innovative data science solutions for medical technology. The Staff Data Scientist translates stakeholder needs into AI and data science projects, builds LLM‑enhanced pipelines, and partners with engineering to operationalize models. Hybrid work in Gurugram with occasional travel (10%).
What you’ll do
- Translate stakeholder requirements into AI solutions
- Identify machine learning opportunities with business partners
- Build and deliver presentations on findings
- Automate data prep, feature engineering, and model monitoring pipelines
- Integrate LLMs and generative AI for analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with engineering to operationalize models
- Monitor and improve model performance
- Manage tasks independently and flag project risks
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's Degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field
- 7-10 years experience in data science
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with AI automation platforms and cloud tools (Azure, Power BI, Fabric)
Nice to have
- Proficiency in at least two statistical techniques
- Ability to create advanced visualizations
- Financial acumen for impact analysis
- Microsoft Azure or Fabric certifications (nice to have)
