About the role
AI Unit at Bajaj Finance focuses on building intelligent applications that leverage advanced NLP and large language models to transform financial services. The Unit Manager leads design and development of RAG pipelines, LLM integration, and RESTful APIs, while also overseeing architecture decisions and code quality. Based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, this role is onsite with a hybrid schedule as needed. Senior-level leadership with 3-8 years of experience in Python, AI/ML, and cloud AI platforms is required.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop AI-based applications using NLP and LLMs
- Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with FastAPI or Flask
- Implement semantic search with Elasticsearch and vector databases
- Monitor and fine-tune LLM performance in production
- Lead solution design and technical architecture decisions
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues
What you’ll bring
Graduation in computers/electronics or Post Graduation in Computer Science
Nice to have
- 3-8 years Python development
- Async/await patterns
- Deep learning with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- LLM experience (GPT, Mistral, LLaMA)
- Prompt engineering with Azure OpenAI, Langchain, Langgraph
