Investment Manager

About the role

Acumen seeks an Investment Manager with 8+ years overall experience, including 4-5 years in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or investment management. Responsibilities include sourcing climate-sector opportunities, conducting due diligence, financial modeling, structuring deals, managing portfolio, supporting exits, and representing Acumen on boards. Requires strong financial, modeling, and operational skills, familiarity with impact investing, and ability to work independently. MBA preferred. Must be authorized to work in India permanently.

What you’ll do

• Source climate-sector investment opportunities and build pipeline.
• Conduct due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and structuring.
• Prepare and present investment docs to Investment Committee.
• Negotiate and close deals with investees and legal team.
• Manage portfolio, monitor performance, and support post-investment needs.
• Build network of impact funders and technical assistance.
• Lead exit roadmap and represent Acumen on boards.
• Generate insights and document portfolio performance.
• Represent Acumen India portfolio at global forums.

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years overall experience, 4-5 years investment in VC/PE/IB/IM
• MBA preferred
