Sr. Data Analyst - Power BI

About the role

YASH Technologies seeks a Sr. Data Analyst to join the BI, Data, and AI team within Client Financial Insurance Services (CFIS) in Bangalore. The role focuses on end-to-end Power BI dashboard development for financial and operational reporting, ensuring intuitive UI/UX and semantic model alignment. This is an on-site position based in Bangalore.

What you’ll do

• Own full lifecycle of Power BI report and dashboard development from requirements to deployment
• Build dashboards supporting insurance functions like policy administration and claims analysis
• Align semantic models with certified data sources from Snowflake
• Apply user-centered design for accessible and visually compelling dashboards
• Implement row-level security and support deployment governance practices
• Monitor and optimize report performance using best practices
• Collaborate with onshore leads, data modelers, and business analysts
• Participate in CAB reviews and maintain user guides

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years experience in business intelligence or data analytics
• 3+ years hands-on Power BI Desktop and Service experience
• Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query / M transformations
• Experience designing and optimizing semantic models
• Demonstrated UI/UX design skills for dashboards
• Experience implementing row-level security (RLS)
• Strong SQL proficiency for data validation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
