About the role

Tech Lead in the IT department at Tech Mahindra, Hyderabad, focusing on building robust API automation frameworks and integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into quality engineering. Leads design and development of Python-based test automation, configures AI agents for autonomous test creation, and collaborates with developers and architects to ensure high‑quality releases. Hyderabad, on-site, hybrid model with occasional remote days.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop API automation frameworks
• Create and maintain Python test scripts and libraries
• Integrate and configure AI agents for test generation and execution
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and client teams
• Manage defect lifecycle including logging, triage, and analysis
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows
• Ensure test framework design, reusable libraries, and service virtualization
• Provide stakeholder communication and documentation

What you’ll bring

• 4-8 years API automation experience
• Strong Python scripting for test automation
• Design and build API automation frameworks (Postman, Rest Assured, Pytest)
• Experience with AI/GenAI in quality engineering
• Proficiency with GitHub ecosystem and Copilot scripting
• Backend API testing for microservices
• CI/CD pipeline integration
• Telecom BSS/OSS domain knowledge (preferred)
