Senior Manager - Policy & Compliance
About the role
The Senior Manager - Policy & Compliance role in Gurugram is responsible for preparing, documenting, and maintaining comprehensive security policies, SOPs, manuals, and reports (including AOSP, ATRs, MOM, and digital dashboards) to ensure alignment with national and international AVSEC regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational security goals. Day-to-day work involves standardizing policies, conducting periodic reviews, managing document control and records, coordinating with Security Oversight & Compliance and Quality Assurance teams, engaging with regulatory bodies such as BCAS, leading the security team, and chairing semi-annual Security Review Committee meetings. The role reports into the Head – Policy, Oversight and Compliance and/or CSO.
What you’ll do
- Develop and standardize comprehensive security policies, SOPs, and manuals aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational security objectives
- Disseminate regulatory instructions, policy updates, and procedural guidance across the organization
- Make safety and security risk tolerability decisions with departments as per approved decision metrics
- Maintain document control processes including issuance, revision, distribution, and archival of controlled documents
- Establish a systematic review process for security policies to ensure continuous improvement and relevance
- Reflect changes in regulations, emerging security threats, and best practices in the aviation security domain to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with security leadership to identify security risks and develop strategies and policies to mitigate these risks
- Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in aviation security to innovate and update security policies and digital dashboards
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably from an AVSEC background
- Minimum 11 years of experience in airport security operations
- Minimum 2 years of experience in audit/policy development and related activities
- 4+ years of experience in security policy development and related activities
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and AVSEC regulations
- Expertise in compliance knowledge
- Crisis Management skills
- Team Management capability
