About the role
Nomura Services India in Powai, Mumbai supports the firm's global expansion through its HR division. The Equity & Deferred Compensation team manages end-to-end administration of deferred compensation programs, including award vesting, stock buyouts, and trading. This Analyst role focuses on daily operations, data management, compliance reporting, and stakeholder coordination within a hybrid work model.
What you’ll do
- Support end-to-end administration of deferred compensation operations including grant processing and vesting events
- Assist in preparing buyout estimations and deferred award grants for new hires
- Maintain accurate participant and award data across HR systems and vendor platforms
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards
- Assist with data analysis, modelling, forecasting, and report preparation for regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with global stakeholders to manage tasks and respond to employee queries
- Help develop educational materials and FAQs for employees regarding deferred awards
- Support projects, system enhancements, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives
What you’ll bring
- 1-3 years experience in employee share plans, deferred compensation, HR operations, Finance or Accounting
- Post Graduate degree or MBA
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, vlookup, and pivot tables
- Strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
- Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and report preparation
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of HR systems such as SuccessFactors or Workday
- Basic knowledge of global share plan platforms like EquatePlus
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills including Excel macros and VBA
- Understanding of operational risk management, compliance, and internal control frameworks
- Exposure to payroll or compensation related processes
- Basic understanding of stock buyout valuations
