Hardware Design Engineer

About the role

Hardware Design Team at Quest Global develops electronic hardware for industrial metering and safety applications. The role designs schematics using Allegro/Altium/Orcad, performs simulations, risk assessments, and DFMEA, while collaborating with firmware and mechanical teams. Based in Bengaluru, on-site work model, with opportunities to guide junior designers and contribute innovative ideas.

What you’ll do

• Design electronic circuits and schematics for industrial metering and safety products
• Conduct verification testing, design analysis, and reviews
• Perform component risk assessment, DFMEA, and reliability analysis
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with firmware, mechanical, and other teams
• Guide junior designers and make independent design decisions
• Develop engineering documentation, BOMs, specifications, and test plans
• Contribute innovative ideas to evolving business development activities
• Ensure quick decision‑making and troubleshooting in an evolving environment

What you’ll bring

• B.E/B.Tech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years relevant hardware design experience
• Proven track record in power supply and embedded solutions
• Component derating and reliability analysis
• Experience with processors, microcontrollers, FPGA development
• Circuit simulation using pSPICE or LTSpice
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
