Client Implementation Specialist, Fund Automation

About the role

Fund Automation Team at Apex Fund Services drives automation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation across fund operations. The specialist designs and implements RPA and AI‑enabled solutions for open‑ended and closed‑ended fund lifecycles, leads client onboarding automation integrating KYC/AML, and partners with tech teams to prototype AI/ML models. Based in Mumbai and Pune with a hybrid onsite schedule, the role offers exposure to AI adoption and cross‑functional stakeholder collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop automation solutions for fund lifecycle processes
• Lead end‑to‑end client onboarding automation projects
• Identify and implement AI/ML opportunities to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with Operations, IT, Compliance, and Product teams
• Manage multiple automation initiatives ensuring timely delivery
• Maintain documentation and governance of automation frameworks

What you’ll bring

• 6–10 years fund operations or automation experience
• Hands‑on RPA or workflow automation tools
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and data pipelines
• Knowledge of KYC/AML onboarding processes
• Advanced SQL, VBA, Excel, and data mapping skills
• Basic Python or scripting for data analytics
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Effective cross‑functional communication

Nice to have

• B.Tech or MBA degree
• Experience with fund accounting systems
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data transformation
• Understanding of regulatory compliance in fund operations
• Proven ability to lead automation initiatives
