About the role

AI Engineering team at M&G Global Services drives digital transformation by building AI-powered solutions for regulated financial services. The Senior Lead AI Engineer designs, develops, and deploys generative AI, LLM, and RAG pipelines, collaborates with UK and India engineering, data, and risk teams, and ensures compliance and responsible AI. Based in Mumbai and Pune with an on‑site work model, the role offers opportunities to lead AI standards and mentor engineers.

What you’ll do

• Deliver AI and machine‑learning solutions on cloud‑native architecture
• Maintain code and model quality through reviews and automated testing
• Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and observability of AI applications
• Create documentation for architectures, prompts, APIs, and responsible AI controls
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards
• Develop and optimize RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector search implementations
• Collaborate with product, data, and risk teams to translate business problems into AI solutions
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and contribute to AI community of practice

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years software engineering experience
• Strong Python development skills
• Hands‑on generative AI and LLM expertise
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, and vector search
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services
• CI/CD pipeline implementation (Azure DevOps)
• MLOps and model monitoring experience
• Knowledge of regulated financial environments
