About the role
Power Electronics team at GE Vernova designs and builds industrial drive systems. The engineer will size, simulate, and test power electronic hardware, create design documentation, and support manufacturing and field commissioning. Chennai, India, on-site role with relocation assistance provided.
What you’ll do
- Design LV/MV drive hardware and control cabinets
- Perform sizing, loss budgeting, and simulation of power electronics
- Develop and validate design documents, BOMs, schematics, and drawings
- Verify functional performance of prototype hardware
- Support manufacturing and conduct factory acceptance tests
- Coordinate with lead engineer and team manager on project execution
- Travel to commission engineered projects as required
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- 3-8 years of power electronics design and testing experience
- Experience with AUTOCAD or E-Plan
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
- Knowledge of motors and drive control systems
