About the role
The Mobile Threat Analysis Platform team at Google aims to protect Android users from mobile malware and abuse. This role involves designing automated static program analysis frameworks and reverse engineering tools to detect security threats at scale. The position is based in Bengaluru or Hyderabad, India.
What you’ll do
- Design and build automated static program analysis frameworks at Google scale
- Design and build secure code exploration based reverse engineering tools
- Research and propose new ideas to detect trending malware using static analysis
- Write product or system development code
- Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback
- Contribute to documentation and educational content
- Triage product issues and debug/track/resolve them
What you’ll bring
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience in static program analysis, compilers, or security
- Experience with malware analysis, threat or abuse detection
Nice to have
- 2 years of experience in security and privacy
- Exceptional engineering capabilities
