Senior Technical Program Manager

About the role

Guidewire Software seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi‑team cloud and platform initiatives. The role drives end‑to‑end planning, execution, and governance of technical programs, partnering with engineering, product, design, QA, and stakeholders to define scope, metrics, and milestones. Responsibilities include managing dependencies, removing blockers, facilitating agile ceremonies, defining KPIs, ensuring technical readiness for production releases, and influencing platform direction. The candidate will bring 12+ years of experience, strong knowledge of SDLC, agile/hybrid delivery, cloud systems, reliability, observability, and AI/ML, and proficiency with JIRA, Aha!, Confluence, and Google Sheets. The position is hybrid, based in Bangalore, India, with a focus on AI, cloud, and data platform transformation.

What you’ll do

• Lead end‑to‑end planning/execution of complex multi‑team technical programs.
• Partner with engineering, product, design, QA, stakeholders to define scope, metrics, milestones.
• Develop and refine integrated program plans, timelines, risk registers, release plans.
• Manage cross‑functional dependencies, remove blockers, mitigate risks.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, deep dives, architecture discussions, program syncs.
• Implement program governance, reporting cadences, operational best practices.
• Define and own program‑level KPIs, track variances, drive course corrections.
• Ensure technical readiness for production releases: security, scalability, performance.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive change management, refine processes, align programs.
• Influence platform and tooling direction, streamline developer workflows.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs.
• Act as glue connecting distributed teams, aligning with mission.

What you’ll bring

• 12+ yrs exp, 5+ yrs TPM in complex multi‑team cloud/platform projects.
• Deep knowledge of SDLC, agile/hybrid delivery, and modern architecture.
• Expertise in cloud systems, SaaS, reliability, observability, scalability.
• Proven metrics‑driven program design: KPIs, dashboards, data‑guided decisions.
• Proficient with JIRA, Aha!, Confluence, Google Sheets for planning & tracking.
• Strong stakeholder management, clear communication to executives and teams.
• Skilled in change management, guiding teams through new processes.
• AI‑savvy, applying data insights to drive innovation and productivity.

Nice to have

• Led cloud ops, reliability, AI/ML, GenAI, or large data platform programs.
• Background in P&C insurance or regulated cloud/SaaS environments.
• Vendor management experience with SLAs and contracts.
• Experience in major cloud/AI/data platform transformations.
• BS/MS CS, Engineering, or equivalent technical proficiency.
