About the role

Qualcomm CPU Software Engineering team drives high‑performance, low‑power CPU software across product segments. The Senior Lead Engineer optimizes kernels, device drivers, and benchmarks, collaborates with CPU, compiler, and kernel groups, and leads performance verification. Bangalore, India, on-site, hybrid schedule possible.

What you’ll do

• Develop and optimize CPU software for performance and power efficiency
• Run and create benchmarks for pre‑ and post‑silicon verification
• Collaborate with internal CPU, compiler, kernel teams and external benchmark vendors
• Evaluate optimization opportunities across libraries, compilers, and runtimes

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field

Nice to have

• 3+ years software engineering experience
• 2+ years experience with C, C++, Java, Python
• In‑depth understanding of Linux internals and device drivers
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture and operating system concepts
