About the role

After-Sales Diagnostics team at Daimler focuses on maintaining and improving vehicle diagnostic capabilities for Mercedes‑Benz systems. The Senior Technical Specialist leads troubleshooting of electronic vehicle systems, develops diagnostic methodologies, and supports field engineers with advanced analysis of gasoline, diesel, and transmission subsystems. Bangalore, On-site, hybrid schedule possible with occasional remote support.

What you’ll do

• Develop and refine diagnostic procedures for Mercedes‑Benz vehicle platforms
• Analyze field issues and provide technical solutions for engine and transmission subsystems
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate diagnostic tools and software
• Train and mentor junior technicians on diagnostic best practices

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Automotive Engineering or certification in Automotive Diagnostics
• Hands‑on experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting of automotive electronic systems
• Experience with after‑sales diagnostic processes
• Knowledge of CAN and UDS protocols

Nice to have

• 3+ years in automotive workshop or development environments
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testers
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Ability to work independently with electronically controlled vehicle systems
