Software Development Engineer II Backend Python

About the role

Innovaccer is a healthcare data platform company that connects scattered patient, appointment, claims, and lab data for hospitals, clinics, and insurers, increasingly using AI agents to automate administrative work. As a Software Development Engineer-II (Backend-Python), you will build efficient, reusable backend and identity systems, own features from prototype to production, and improve reliability, scalability, and security. You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into delivered solutions. This is an on-site role based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

What you’ll do

• Build efficient, reusable applications and abstractions across backend and identity systems.
• Own the full project lifecycle — from prototyping through design, build, integration, QA, and delivery.
• Automate repetitive workflows to boost team efficiency.
• Improve the performance, reliability, observability, scalability, stability, and security of the product.
• Identify and drive adoption of back-end best practices.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, tooling, and process improvements.
• Navigate ambiguous requirements by leading discussions with stakeholders and team members.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of experience with a start-up mentality and a high willingness to learn.
• Expert in Python, Go, or Java, with experience in a relevant web framework.
• Expert in Kubernetes and containerization.
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as Postgres and MongoDB.
• Experience in Solution Architecture.
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering.
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills, with a go-get-done, bias-for-action, self-starter, and team-player attitude.

Nice to have

• Experience with any OLAP database.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other queuing services.
• Working experience with Distributed Systems / multi-tenant systems and Async Programming.
