Java Tech Lead, AI

About the role

Weekday AI's client team builds AI-native enterprise solutions on Java platforms. As a Java Tech Lead, you will design and architect scalable, secure applications, integrate Azure AI services, and guide engineering teams in AI integration and DevOps practices. Based in Hyderabad or Bengaluru, on-site work model with occasional travel as needed.

What you’ll do

• Define end‑to‑end solution architecture and produce HLD/LLD
• Lead technical discussions and governance across teams
• Design and implement AI‑native features using LLMs and RAG
• Integrate enterprise apps with Azure AI services
• Mentor engineering teams on best practices and code quality
• Conduct architecture and code reviews
• Drive DevOps adoption with CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure security, scalability, and performance standards

What you’ll bring

• 9+ years software development
• 3-5 years solution architect experience
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices
• Hands‑on building AI‑native apps with LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI
• Experience integrating Azure AI and Azure OpenAI
• Strong knowledge of cloud‑native architecture and scalability
• Proficiency with CI/CD, Git, Maven
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
