VP & Head – Pre Sales

About the role

LinkTag seeks a VP & Head of Pre‑Sales to lead and evolve the pre‑sales function across its BFSI and analytics portfolio. The role demands a seasoned leader with 10‑12 years of experience, including senior leadership in technology and deep expertise in designing and delivering analytics and business intelligence solutions. Responsibilities include mentoring the pre‑sales team, shaping strategy and roadmap, managing RFP/RFI compliance, and driving client engagements through demos, briefings, and proof‑of‑concepts. The ideal candidate will possess strong bid, relationship, and contract management skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a proven track record in the banking or financial services sector. Master’s degree preferred. This full‑time, on‑site position in Bangalore offers an opportunity to influence revenue growth and product strategy at a senior executive level.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor the pre‑sales team.
• Formulate company strategy and pre‑sales roadmap.
• Prepare RFP/RFI compliance and support sales bidding.
• Engage prospects with demos, briefings, and POCs.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to achieve revenue targets.

What you’ll bring

• 6-8 years of experience in pre‑sales roles.
• 5+ years of senior leadership in technology/BFSI.
• Proven technical architecture and analytics solution design.
• Strong bid, relationship, and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Nice to have

• Pre‑sales/customer demos and POCs of BI tools (QlikView, Tableau, MS BI, etc.).
• Knowledge of BI/database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP).
• Experience in banking/financial services industry.
• Strong thought‑leadership and strategic vision.
