About the role

ERM India is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Professional to join its Sustainable Operations team, supporting EHS program implementation and monitoring across projects, operations, and construction in the Asia Pacific region. Day-to-day, you will act as an on-site health and safety consultant for a technology sector client, delivering H&S services, incident and near-miss management, stop-work interventions, legal compliance monitoring, and regular site inspections while reporting performance to regional leadership. You will also build trusted client relationships, mentor junior consultants, and pursue safety consulting opportunities in manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and chemicals. The role is based in Hyderabad, Mumbai, or Pune.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as on-site health and safety consultant for a technology sector client
  • Deliver Health and Safety services and Incident and near-miss management including stop-work intervention
  • Confirm Health and Safety legal compliance requirements are understood, control programs are in place, and compliance is monitored during construction activities
  • Provide regular inspection routines to projects to promote safe behaviors, good conditions, and increase safety awareness across all workers on site
  • Provide feedback on overall health and safety performance to regional leadership
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with key clients as a trusted safety advisor
  • Translate complex technical safety challenges into actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants to build internal safety capability, technical acumen, and client-facing skills

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental, Safety, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8–12 years of hands-on experience in safety consulting, audits, risk assessments, and system implementation
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant construction safety experience
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, IOSH, or equivalent are mandatory
  • Proven exposure to Data Center and Tech industry guidelines and experience working with international clients
  • Hazard recognition capability
  • Incident management experience
  • On-site construction health and safety planning experience
