About the role

ERM India is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Professional to support the implementation and monitoring of EHS programs across projects, operations, and construction. You will lead the delivery of complex, high-impact projects, guide and develop teams, and apply deep technical expertise to strengthen consulting capability while building trusted client partnerships. The role involves on-site health and safety consulting for a technology sector client, incident and near-miss management, stop-work intervention, and ensuring legal compliance during construction activities. Work location is Hyderabad/Mumbai/Pune.

What you’ll do

  • On-site health & safety consultant for a technology sector client.
  • Delivery of Health and Safety services and Incident and near-miss management including stop-work intervention.
  • Confirm that Health and Safety legal compliance requirements are understood, control programs are in place and that compliance is monitored during construction activities.
  • Provide regular inspection routines to projects to promote safe behaviors, and good conditions and to increase safety awareness across all workers on site.
  • Provide feedback on overall health and safety performance to regional leadership.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with key clients, becoming a trusted safety advisor.
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants to build internal safety capability, technical acumen, and client-facing skills.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for safety-related consulting services, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and chemicals.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental, Safety, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of hands-on experience in safety consulting, audits, risk assessments, and system implementation.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant construction safety experience.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, IOSH, or equivalent are mandatory.
  • Proven exposure to Data Center and Tech industry guidelines and experience working with international clients.
  • Hazard recognition capability.
  • Incident management capability.
  • On-site construction health and safety planning capability.
