Java Technical Lead

About the role

Weekday AI is seeking a Java Technical Lead for its client to drive full‑stack development with an AI‑first mindset. The role leads squads building Java Spring Boot microservices, React front‑ends, and cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP, while championing AI‑assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot and Cursor. Based in Hyderabad or Bengaluru, the position is on‑site at the client’s offices.

What you’ll do

• Lead full‑stack development using Java, Spring Boot, React, and related technologies
• Design and build microservices and containerised applications on Kubernetes and Docker
• Write complex SQL and manage transactional and NoSQL databases
• Apply object‑oriented design principles across the codebase
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines within Agile/DevOps environments
• Mentor team members on AI‑assisted coding practices
• Integrate applications with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

What you’ll bring

• 9+ years overall experience
• 3+ years full‑stack Java and React development
• 3+ years Kubernetes and Docker containerisation
• 3+ years SQL and NoSQL database engineering
• 2+ years DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
• 2+ years cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands‑on experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
