About the role
Database Operations team at Cubic Transportation Systems leads the design, implementation and support of enterprise Oracle databases. The Senior DBA Manager builds and mentors a geographically dispersed team, defines roadmaps, oversees migrations, cloud adoption and disaster recovery, and ensures performance and compliance. Hyderabad, India, on-site, hybrid schedule with occasional travel to stakeholder sites.
What you’ll do
- Lead and mentor DBA team across locations
- Define and drive database roadmaps and cloud migrations
- Design backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategies
- Monitor performance and resolve issues with diagnostic tools
- Collaborate with developers and infrastructure for critical applications
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies
- Participate in capacity planning and architecture reviews
- Support change control and incident management
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years Oracle DBA experience
- 5+ years leading technical teams
- Expertise with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard
- Proficiency in backup/recovery using RMAN
- Experience with OCI, AWS or Azure
- Strong performance tuning using AWR/ADDM
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL
- Leadership and communication skills
