About the role

Coherent seeks a Senior Oracle Cloud DBA in Hyderabad to manage OCI and Fusion Apps environments. The role involves administering Oracle databases, leading migrations to the cloud, and ensuring high availability across hybrid infrastructures. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office.

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement, and administer Oracle database environments across OCI and on-premises platforms
  • Lead end-to-end migrations from on-premises to OCI including assessment and validation
  • Provision and manage OCI services such as Compute, VCN, Block Volumes, and Autonomous Database
  • Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and right-sizing resources
  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Data Guard and RAC
  • Perform performance tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity planning
  • Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and enterprise tools like Avamar
  • Provide 24x7 production support and participate in on-call rotations

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years managing Oracle databases (19c/21c) in on-premises, hybrid, and OCI environments
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Demantra, Salesforce, and engineering databases
  • Knowledge of migration tools like GoldenGate, Data Guard, and RMAN

Nice to have

  • Oracle Database or OCI certification
  • Experience with Commvault, Avamar, Spotlight, and OEM
  • Strong change management skills in fast-paced environments
