Electronics Design Engineer - Wireline

About the role

Weatherford International seeks an Electronics Design Engineer for its Wireline division in Navi Mumbai, India. The role involves designing PCB layouts, developing analog and digital circuits, and validating prototypes for electronic products. This is an on-site position requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and manufacturing readiness.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop electrical systems including PCB layouts, analog/digital circuits, and sensors
• Develop and validate prototype circuits through design, build, testing, and troubleshooting
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory standards such as IPC and IEC
• Prepare and maintain PCB documentation and engineering records using PLM systems
• Research and evaluate electronic component replacements for obsolescence management
• Develop factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures for internal and customer requirements
• Support manufacturing by transitioning prototypes into production and resolving technical issues
• Assist Repair & Maintenance teams with troubleshooting and sustaining engineering activities

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in electronic product design and development
• Strong expertise in analog/digital circuit design, power electronics, and PCB development
• Proficiency with Altium, PADS, and Microsoft Visio
• Experience with PCB documentation and Windchill PLM systems
• Knowledge of IPC, IEC, EMI/EMC standards
