About the role
KONE seeks an Engineer or Senior Engineer for Technical Service in Kolkata to ensure safe and reliable people flow experiences through elevator and escalator maintenance. The role involves resolving complex technical issues, managing customer relationships, and coaching maintenance technicians on-site. This full-time position requires a willingness to travel and strong local language skills.
What you’ll do
- Ensure end-user and site safety during operations
- Solve complex technical issues assigned by THD
- Perform first visits for new equipment from competitors or KONE
- Identify technical issues causing call-outs or safety hazards
- Provide feedback to reduce call-outs and improve products
- Maintain excellent customer relationships and satisfaction
- Improve competence of Maintenance Technicians through coaching
- Spread knowledge of Field Letters and new maintenance methodologies
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Experience in Customer service
- Willingness to Travel
- Local language skills
Nice to have
Prior experience of elevator/escalator industry is an asset
