Business Analyst - Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)

About the role

This role is for a Business Analyst supporting Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, working closely with Finance, Business, and Technology teams in Mumbai, India on a remote, full-time basis. Day-to-day work involves gathering requirements for planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting; translating them into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria; and supporting EPM implementation, enhancement, and transformation projects. The analyst bridges Finance stakeholders and technology teams, coordinates with developers/configuration teams, supports data mapping and integration, and helps manage SIT, UAT, and defect resolution.

What you’ll do

• Work with Finance and business stakeholders to understand requirements related to planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and financial reporting
• Conduct requirement gathering, stakeholder discussions, process analysis, and gap analysis
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Support EPM implementation, enhancement, and transformation projects
• Work closely with developers/configuration teams to ensure requirements are correctly translated into EPM solutions
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process flows, functional specifications, and test scenarios
• Support data mapping, data validation, and integration requirements between EPM and source systems
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, and defect resolution with business and technology teams

What you’ll bring

• Strong knowledge of Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Reporting, and Consolidation
• Hands-on experience with EPM platforms such as Oracle EPM/Hyperion, SAP BPC, Anaplan, or similar solutions
• Experience bridging Finance stakeholders and technology teams
• Finance-focused Business Analyst background with strong EPM implementation experience
• Ability to conduct requirement gathering, stakeholder discussions, process analysis, and gap analysis
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, process flows, functional specifications, and test scenarios
• Experience supporting data mapping, data validation, and integration between EPM and source systems
