About the role
Principal Engineer leading embedded platform software development for RTOS-based aerospace systems.
What you’ll do
- Develop, enhance, maintain mission-critical platform software
- Serve as technical SME and support team
- Coordinate and communicate across teams
- Build and nurture offshore team, improve competencies
- Lead and motivate team on future technologies
- Support engineering team in development/verification
- Understand interfaces of external software/hardware
- Scope dependencies, risks, and issues early
What you’ll bring
- 11+ years Embedded Software Development
- Strong C/Embedded C and Linux shell scripting
- RTOS experience with VxWorks, Lynx OS
- Knowledge of ARM, PowerPC architectures
- Device Driver implementation experience
- Software Configuration Management (DOORS, JIRA, GIT)
- Embedded debugging tools (JTAG, Lauterbach)
- Structural coverage analysis and unit test automation
- Software certification document understanding
- Quality audits process proficiency
Nice to have
- Python, Shell scripting, Batch files
- ARINC 653/665, AFDX specifications
- Agile methodology
- DO178 B/C verification
