Senior Manager, Software QA

About the role

Studio Product Engineering team at Five9 builds AI‑enhanced contact center solutions. The Senior Manager, Software QA leads a team of 5‑8 test engineers, defines end‑to‑end QA strategy, and drives AI‑powered test automation across functional, performance, and API testing. Works hybrid in Bengaluru, collaborating with engineering, product, and SRE teams while providing on‑call production support in the India time zone.

What you’ll do

• Develop and own end‑to‑end testing strategies and metrics
• Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
• Lead functional, regression, performance, and API testing initiatives
• Mentor, coach, and conduct performance reviews for test engineers
• Drive adoption of AI‑powered testing tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed quality early
• Participate in on‑call rotation to support production systems
• Communicate QA status and incident updates to senior leadership

What you’ll bring

• 8-15 years software development lifecycle experience
• 3-5 years people management in QA
• Hands‑on test automation with Selenium, Cypress or Playwright
• Proficiency in Java or PHP
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or Jenkins
• Production support/on‑call experience for SaaS systems
• Cloud platform experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Knowledge of Docker and scripting (BASH, PowerShell)
