About the role

Getinz Techno Services, a global leader in cloud security, seeks a Principal Engineer – Data Platform based in Bengaluru. The role sits at the intersection of security, big data, and cloud computing, building ultra low‑latency pipelines that deliver real‑time security insights to customers worldwide. You will design, architect, and scale distributed backend systems using Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and modern data lake ecosystems. The position requires deep expertise in distributed systems, Hadoop, Kafka, and cloud‑native data infrastructure on AWS or GCP. Candidates must have a BSCS (or equivalent) and strong experience in Golang or Java, with knowledge of Parquet, Iceberg, gRPC, and object storage (S3, GCS). The role is hybrid, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and expects a senior‑level engineer with 16–20 years of experience. Responsibilities include building next‑generation data pipelines, driving architecture initiatives, evaluating open‑source technologies, and collaborating across global teams. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to shape a leading cloud security platform and work with industry experts.

What you’ll do

• Build next‑generation data pipelines for near real‑time ingestion of security insights and intelligence data
• Design, architect, and scale distributed backend systems that power high‑throughput, low‑latency data platforms
• Drive Data Platform architecture initiatives leveraging technologies such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and modern data lake ecosystems
• Partner with industry experts in security, big data, product, and engineering teams to conceptualize, design, and build innovative solutions for complex customer problems
• Evaluate open‑source technologies to identify the best fit for platform needs and contribute to relevant ecosystems where applicable
• Collaborate with other teams to architect their systems on top of the data platform and influence overall system architecture and best practices

What you’ll bring

• BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
• Strong Backend Engineering background with hands‑on experience building and scaling distributed systems
• Mandatory experience in Data Platform architecture and large‑scale data infrastructure design

Nice to have

Good to have experience in designing high‑throughput, low‑latency data services; experience with gRPC/RPC is a plus
