About the role
Aggreko is hiring a Validation Engineer in Pune, India, to build, test, and validate the company's new and existing products and systems, including gas and diesel generators, packaged distribution transformers, and battery energy storage systems. Day-to-day work involves owning validation testing, preparing test cells, sourcing materials, executing tests to compliance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues with design teams, documenting and analyzing results, and supporting validation at manufacturing, operations, and vendor sites. The role is full-time and based in Pune.
What you’ll do
- Take ownership for the validation testing of new and existing Aggreko products/systems, third-party products, and new technologies to ensure equipment and systems meet necessary design and performance
- Prepare for the execution of tests by sourcing the necessary materials and equipment, as well as setting up the test cell.
- Ensure testing is executed in compliance with procedures and regulations.
- Record, resolve, and communicate technical problems identified during the build and test process, and work closely with design teams to design out manufacturing and operational issues identified durin
- Document test/validation process and results, analyze results to establish conformance against agreed requirements, and generate reports to be shared with engineering and product line teams.
- Assist in the development of standard work instructions and retrofit documents that can be adopted by the production and operations teams.
- Support validation testing at Manufacturing, operations sites/depots and other facilities including vendor locations, and establish a reputation for expert technical advice.
What you’ll bring
- Degree in engineering, coupled with a recognized apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical discipline or equivalent related experience.
- Proven experience in equipment and system testing, specifically involving power generators, temperature control equipment, and battery energy storage systems.
- Ability to understand and interpret schematic drawings.
- Ability to follow logical fault identification processes.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Capacity to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility to manage fluctuating workloads and diverse problems, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and ability to contribute as a team player.

Education
