Principal Engineer Technical Project Management

About the role

Verizon Technical Project Management team drives innovative learning platforms using GenAI and Agentic AI. The Principal Engineer leads strategy, architecture, and full‑cycle delivery of intelligent content discovery solutions, bridging business needs with GTS and managing hybrid teams. Hyderabad, hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote), 1‑10 PM IST work hours.

What you’ll do

• Lead strategy and execution of AI‑powered learning platform projects
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, user stories, and roadmaps
• Architect and integrate GenAI/Agentic AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform
• Prototype and develop code in Python, JavaScript, Java using GitHub workflows
• Define and implement reporting frameworks to measure ROI and performance
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and progress tracking in Jira and Confluence

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 6+ years technical project leadership experience
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript and GitHub workflows
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform AI/ML services
• Experience designing semantic search, NLP, and LLM‑based solutions
• Strong communication skills bridging business and technical teams
• Agile project management expertise with Jira and Confluence
