About the role
Engineering at Maruti Suzuki India, leading the system-level design, integration, and validation of e‑powertrain systems for electric vehicles. The role defines requirements, develops architecture, conducts safety assessments, and collaborates across hardware, software, and vehicle integration teams to ensure robust performance. Based in Gurugram/Pune, on‑site work model with occasional cross‑site coordination, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Define and manage system requirements and specifications
- Develop system architecture, interface definitions, and signal matrices
- Lead failure mode analysis, validation, and verification activities
- Design advanced motor control algorithms and calibrate software
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and vehicle integration teams
- Ensure compliance with functional safety and development standards
- Coordinate with suppliers for component development and DVP execution
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years system engineering of electric powertrains
- Hands‑on experience with electric motors, inverters, gearboxes, battery interfaces
- Functional safety (ISO 26262) and ASPICE compliance
- MATLAB/Simulink for control modeling
- Siemens Polarion or IBM DOORS for requirements management
- Cross‑functional team leadership and supplier liaison
