About the role

Drives technical excellence and ownership across the product engineering organization.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, unit test scalable backend services on Microsoft Azure
- Contribute to cloud-native architecture using Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs
- Maintain 80%+ code coverage for high code quality
- Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, UX, Engineering teams
- Contribute to sprint planning, grooming, architectural discussions
- Ensure sprint commitments delivered in line with goals
- Build high-quality, maintainable code following best practices
- Reduce defects by early issue fixing
- Resolve critical incidents within SLA
- Own production issue troubleshooting, incident analysis, root-cause resolution
- Design and support high-volume, large-scale systems
- Conduct peer code reviews to improve code quality
- Support junior engineers in testing, exploratory testing, automation
- Mentor and grow engineers within the team
- Help build high-performing teams and create development opportunities
- Lead by example through technical excellence and ownership
- Proactive self-learner open to new technologies
- Ask right questions and close clarity gaps
- Strong collaborator with quality-first mindset
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS or related field
- 8+ years software development experience
- Backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs
- Hands-on Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Docker and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Java 7+ and Spring Boot recent development
- Production support ownership
- Operating systems at scale and high throughput
Nice to have
- Understanding of SRE fundamentals
- Exposure to reliability, observability, operational excellence practices
