Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, conducting gap analysis, preparing process models, ensuring regulatory compliance (Basel, IFRS, SOX, CCAR, DFAST), and validating data lineage and governance. The analyst supports risk model development, exposure calculations, and financial reporting, participates in UAT, and prepares BRDs, FRDs, and user guides. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Business, Economics, or Risk Management, with 5+ years of business analysis experience, at least 3 in finance and risk, strong knowledge of financial products and risk types, regulatory frameworks, and proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Agile/Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
What you’ll do
- Gather, analyze, document business requirements from finance stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into functional specs for dev teams.
- Work with data teams to analyze financial and risk data.
- Facilitate workshops, gap analysis, process modeling.
- Ensure compliance with Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, SOX, CCAR, DFAST.
- Support risk model development and financial reporting.
- Validate data lineage, quality, governance for risk/finance data.
- Participate in UAT, validate results, support issue resolution.
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process flows, user guides.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's/Master's in Finance, Business, Economics, or Risk Management.
- 5+ years as Business Analyst, 3+ in Finance & Risk.
- Deep knowledge of financial products and risk types.
- Experience with Basel, IFRS, CCAR, etc. regulations.
- Proficient in SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodology experience.
