About the role

Business Analyst – Data Governance at Kemin Industries focuses on standardizing data entry, enhancing data quality, and strengthening the organization’s data governance framework. The analyst translates business needs into actionable technical requirements, evaluates governance tools, and leads process mapping to document and improve data management practices. This role delivers scalable solutions that improve data integrity and usability across the enterprise, working closely with data owners, stewards, and IT teams. Chennai, On-site, 3 days per week, with potential for remote collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather data governance requirements
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for developers and data engineers
• Evaluate and recommend data governance tools and platforms
• Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures
• Conduct data quality assessments and create data quality rules and metrics
• Lead process mapping to document and standardize data entry and management processes
• Coordinate triage and escalation of data issues, prioritizing remediation based on risk and business value
• Present findings and project updates to stakeholders at multiple levels
