Senior Associate IT Audior

About the role

Senior Associate IT Auditor at Amgen responsible for internal audit of information systems. Works within Corporate Internal Audit group, reporting to Senior Manager. Conducts periodic audits of operational and financial areas, evaluates risk management, control and governance processes, and ensures compliance with industry standards. Manages multiple projects, interacts with senior and mid-level management, drafts work papers, and mentors staff. Requires 1-2 years of IS/audit experience (or 2-3 years with bachelor’s), strong knowledge of general controls, application controls, data analysis, vulnerability assessments, penetration studies, intrusion detection, SSAE16/18, ERP (SAP), COSO, ITIL, COBIT, GxP guidelines. Must possess problem‑solving, critical thinking, communication, cross‑functional collaboration, and AI tool proficiency. Travel up to 10% per year. Working hours 2 pm–11 pm IST. Full‑time, on‑site in Hyderabad, India.

What you’ll do

• Effectively plans, coordinates, and conducts periodic audits of operational and financial areas in accordance with approved annual audit plans.
• Interacts with Amgen senior and mid-level management.
• Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Successfully manages and cultivates key relationships to ensure Corporate Audit’s scope of work and objectives are completed cost‑effectively and timely.
• Exercises excellent judgment and initiative in handling business issues of significance to Corporate Audit and the Company.
• Drafts work papers documenting work performed and written communications of audit and consulting engagement results.
• Executes on goals and objectives of audits.
• Provides appropriate leadership and mentoring to Corporate Audit staff to achieve audit goals and objectives.
• Discharges responsibilities in a manner consistent with The Institute of Internal Auditors’ Code of Ethics, International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Statement of Responsibilities.
• Travel up to 10% per year.

What you’ll bring

• Master’s degree and 1-2 years of Information Systems and/or Audit experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of Information Systems and/or Audit experience.
• 2+ years’ experience with executing various IS audit projects such as general controls, application controls, data analysis, vulnerability assessments / penetration studies, intrusion detection, and SSAE16/18s.
• Working hours: 2 pm – 11 pm IST.

Nice to have

• 2+ years’ progressive experience in auditing, finance, accounting, IT management, compliance, operations, system validation, quality role.
• External audit (e.g., Big Four) and/or internal audit (e.g., Fortune 500) experience.
• Advanced degrees in computer science, accounting finance, business administration or in a life science related area.
• Certifications such as CISA, CIA, CISSP, CISSM, CRISK, CGEIT, CPA and MBA.
• Working knowledge of enterprise applications such as ERP (SAP) systems, COSO framework and audit experience of ITIL, COBIT and other technical IS processes.
• Knowledge and understanding of internal control framework.
• Pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry experience.
• Experience in a global organization or cross-border auditing.
• General knowledge of GxP Guidelines and regulatory requirements for clinical trials and manufacturing of pharmaceutical product.
• Excellent business acumen (e.g., knowledge of business drivers, solutions, accounting, finance).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
