About the role

KLA RAPID Division builds cutting‑edge C++ software for next‑gen mask inspection systems. The role designs and develops inspection and data analytics solutions, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, optical, algorithm, and software teams to solve system‑level challenges. Based in Chennai, India, the position is on‑site with a focus on high‑impact engineering and cross‑functional teamwork.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop inspection software and data analytics solutions for advanced mask inspection systems
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to define and implement system requirements
• Optimize and maintain existing codebases to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
• Provide support during beta‑site ramp‑up and handle escalations from customer sites

What you’ll bring

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in C++ programming, object‑oriented design, and design patterns
• Strong background in data analysis, including statistical summaries and predictive modeling
• Proficiency in Linux‑based development environments
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and workflows
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Singularity)
• Knowledge of frontend development stacks such as Qt or Electron
• Leadership and teamwork skills
