Senior Software Engineer, C/C++

About the role

Quest Global Engineering team builds high‑performance multimedia applications on Linux. The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops and optimizes embedded C/C++ software, integrates drivers and middleware, and collaborates with hardware and validation teams. Thiruvananthapuram office, on‑site work model.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop and maintain embedded C/C++ software
• Integrate device drivers, middleware and application code
• Perform unit, integration testing and debugging with hardware tools
• Analyze and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Collaborate with hardware, validation and system teams
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Support power management and performance optimization

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of C/C++ development
• Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS
• Proficiency with GStreamer or similar multimedia frameworks
• Hands‑on debugging using JTAG, GDB, logic analyzers
• Familiarity with hardware communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, Ethernet)
• Version control using Git
• Understanding of memory management and low‑level programming
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing for embedded systems
