About the role
Principal Data Strategy Consultant at O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM), a Franklin Templeton‑owned specialist investment manager based in Hyderabad, India. The role focuses on ensuring data integrity and reliability across OSAM’s portfolio management platform, CANVAS®. Responsibilities include troubleshooting user‑reported issues, diagnosing ingestion problems, implementing short‑term fixes, optimizing stored procedures, updating C# ingestion code, designing ETL workflows, enforcing validation standards, documenting lineage, and collaborating with engineers and product teams. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, possess 9–12 years of programming experience, and demonstrate expertise in SQL performance tuning, stored procedures, C# pipelines, Git, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and independent work skills are essential. The position offers a full‑time schedule with a 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST shift, on‑site work in Hyderabad, and a focus on employee well‑being and multidimensional support.
What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot user-reported issues across applications and SQL data sources.
- Diagnose and resolve data integrity and ingestion problems.
- Implement short-term fixes with rollback plans for safety.
- Optimize stored procedures for stable data transformations.
- Update C# ingestion code to improve pipeline reliability.
- Design and maintain ETL workflows for curated data layers.
- Enforce data validation and monitoring standards.
- Document data lineage and operational playbooks.
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Communicate incident status and improvements to leadership.
