About the role
Weekday AI is seeking a Data & AI Architect to lead the design of modern cloud-based data and AI platforms that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI. The role defines enterprise-scale data architecture, builds AI-ready ecosystems, and ensures secure, scalable, compliant solutions while collaborating with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders. Remote (India).
What you’ll do
- Define and evolve enterprise data architecture
- Architect cloud-native AI-ready data platforms on Azure
- Establish standards, governance, and compliance for data solutions
- Collaborate with data science to enable ML, Generative AI, and RAG workflows
- Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time integration
- Guide engineering teams on architectural decisions and best practices
- Mentor data engineers and architects
- Research emerging AI and data technologies
What you’ll bring
- 9+ years experience
- Microsoft Azure data platform expertise
- Design data lakes, warehouses, lakehouse
- AI platform design for ML and Generative AI
- Python and Spark development
- MLOps and LLMOps tools (MLflow, Azure ML, LangChain)
- Experience with vector databases and RAG architectures
- Mentoring technical teams
