About the role

Weekday AI client team drives large‑scale data engineering, analytics and AI initiatives. The Technical Project Manager leads end‑to‑end delivery of complex data pipelines, AI/GenAI solutions and cross‑functional engineering efforts, coordinating architecture reviews, sprint execution and stakeholder communication. Bengaluru, on-site, hybrid schedule with occasional remote days as needed.

What you’ll do

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of data engineering and AI projects from initiation to production
• Define scope, timelines, milestones and execution strategy
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and financial metrics
• Lead cross‑functional teams, conduct architecture reviews and stakeholder meetings
• Mentor and grow engineering team members, oversee hiring and performance management
• Ensure production readiness of AI systems (latency, cost, observability, reliability)
• Drive governance, quality and compliance for data and AI solutions
• Support pre‑sales activities such as RFP responses and proof‑of‑concept delivery

What you’ll bring

• 12+ years experience in data engineering or AI
• Proven track record delivering multi‑workstream data/AI programs
• Experience managing engineering teams of 10+
• Hands‑on expertise with cloud data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure)
• Deep knowledge of batch/streaming pipelines and data modeling (dimensional, data vault, medallion)
• Experience designing production AI systems (RAG, LLM, vector search, knowledge graphs)
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, vector databases and Neo4j
• Technical certifications in dbt, Snowflake or major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
