Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Cloud Engineering team at Kyndryl drives enterprise cloud transformation on Google Cloud Platform. The Senior Cloud Engineer designs secure, scalable GCP architectures, leads deployments and migration programs, and acts as L3 escalation point for complex incidents. Works hybrid across Bangalore and Hyderabad, collaborating with architects, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to ensure cost‑effective cloud adoption.

What you’ll do

• Design scalable, secure GCP architectures and reference frameworks
• Lead deployment of GCP services and infrastructure‑as‑code implementations
• Act as L3 escalation point, perform RCA and implement preventive solutions
• Establish SLAs, SLOs, monitoring, and operational runbooks
• Define and enforce IAM, network security, and compliance policies
• Advise clients, architects, and leadership on cloud strategy
• Drive automation, DevOps, and FinOps initiatives
• Mentor junior engineers and build team capability

What you’ll bring

• Strong expertise in GCP core services (Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, GKE, BigQuery)
• Experience in cloud architecture, migrations, and cloud‑native development
• Hands‑on with IaC tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation)
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and governance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to lead large‑scale transformation programs
• Experience working in global delivery or consulting environments
