Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Senior Cloud Engineer role at Cendyn focuses on expanding and optimizing the company's public cloud footprint. The position requires designing, implementing, and scaling cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and Azure, leveraging IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. Responsibilities include managing cost, performing system updates, automating runbooks, and collaborating with development and security teams to enhance developer experience. The engineer will build CI/CD pipelines, maintain automation scripts, and support internal services. Strong scripting skills, experience with Atlassian tools, Git, and Ruby on Rails are essential. The role is full‑time, hybrid with at least two days in Hyderabad, India, and follows a 12 PM–9 PM IST schedule. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree, have 5+ years of cloud experience, and be proficient in IaC, CI/CD, and cloud security best practices.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
• 5+ years experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure
• 3+ years Terraform or IaC experience
• Proficient scripting in bash, PowerShell, or Python
• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance
• Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and Agile workflow
• Git, GitHub, BitBucket source control
• Ruby on Rails application experience
• Strong English communication skills

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in IT, CS, or related discipline
• 7+ years of cloud engineering experience
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Experience managing cloud databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with Java, Ruby, .NET environments
• Knowledge of Scale Way cloud offering
