About the role
Technical Accounting - Supervising Senior at Connor Group, a specialized professional services firm of Big 4 alumni, focuses on complex technical accounting, financial reporting, IPOs, M&A, and managed services. Responsibilities include adding value through complex transactions such as IPOs, SPACs, M&A, and divestitures; preparing and completing audits; assisting clients in technical topics and financial reporting areas including revenue recognition, stock‑based compensation, leases, fixed assets, accrued expenses, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, cut‑off, income statement classification, SEC reporting, quarterization, and detailed revenue analysis; drafting or reviewing complex financial statements with disclosures; assisting in SEC reporting (10K, 10Q, other filings); identifying and applying technical accounting guidance; discussing GAAP with managers and partners; and identifying complex accounting issues for resolution. Requires 3‑6 years experience, Bachelor’s in accounting, GPA 3.5+, 2‑5 years public accounting, CPA preferred, strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, technical accounting research, independent and team work, and some travel (~10%). Hybrid work model across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi (NCR). Shift 3pm‑11:30pm IST. Start date 10/14/2025.
What you’ll do
- Add value through complex transactions including IPOs, SPACs, M&A, and Divestitures.
- Add value to clients to successfully prepare and complete audits.
- Assist clients in technical topics and financial reporting areas such as revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, leases, fixed assets, accrued expenses, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, cut-off, income statement classification, SEC reporting, quarterization, detailed revenue analysis.
- Draft or review complex financial statements with disclosures.
- Assist in SEC reporting, including 10K, 10Q and other filings.
- Identify and apply technical accounting guidance to client situations.
- Discuss GAAP on client projects with managers and partners.
- Identify complex accounting issues and bring them to engagement leaders for resolution.
What you’ll bring
- GPA of 3.5 or better
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required
- 2-5 years of prior experience in public accounting required
- CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of certification
